Shah Rukh Khan is no stranger to television. Unlike most Bollywood stars who have turned to television now, Shah Rukh Khan is one of those few stars who actually began his career with serials on the small screen. However, now, after almost two decades later, Shah Rukh 'King' Khan will once again be seen acting in a TV serial! Shah Rukh Khan is getting ready to make his first ever cameo appearance in a television serial after becoming a Bollywood superstar. The serial in question is the highly anticipated fiction show from COLORS - Sasural Simar Ka, the show which also sees the return of Avika Gor, the nation's beloved child bride.

Shah Rukh Khan was apparently so excited about this special appearance that even though he was completely pressed for time, he decided to go ahead with the shoot. To make it easier for him to fit the show's shoot into his schedule, the shot where he was to be in the show has been shot at none other than his own house - Mannat! The Channel says that “The story appealed to him as Sasural Simar Ka deals with a girl- Simar, the protagonist who will go to any lengths to make her dreams of a being an expert dancer come true. The scene which stars Shah Rukh sees him play himself albeit in the role of the judge of a dance show Chak Dhoom Dhoom in which Simar participates without the knowledge of her strict father."

Deepika Samson who shot with SRK says, "It was a lifetime experience to shoot or be around SRK. I froze when i saw Shahrukh. He made me feel so comfortable. I keep pinching myself to believe that i shot with him."

Chasing dreams till they come true is something Shah Rukh has more or less lived his life by and would like to encourage budding talent with the same hope.
