The only question ringing in every young Indian’s dancers ears is “ARE YOU D+ (DANCE POSITIVE)?” and few among them have shown the world how dance is their only passion. One such is Chotu Lohar, a 23 year old mine worker who breaks stones for living in Bhubaneshwar (Orissa). He has made it to the Top 18 in the Mumbai audition of the third Season of India’s most popular dance reality show, Dance India Dance (DID).

Chotu Lohar breaks stones in a mine for a living in a remote village. He caught a glimpse of the first Season of DID at a friend’s place and was hooked on to the show. He started learning Hip Hop by watching content on television and internet. His friends and relatives encouraged him to give DID a shot realizing his talent and penchant for the art form. Chotu first auditioned for DID 2 and found a place in the Top 36 but could not make it to the final 18. He was disappointed but did not give up perfecting his dance moves.

Master Geeta Kapoor had then told him, “If you are so keen on making a career in dance then shift to Mumbai and learn from a renowned master.” Chotu immediately paid heed to the Master’s words, moved to Mumbai and enrolled himself in a reputed dance coaching institute. He learnt krumping, locking, popping and Bollywood style of dancing and came all prepared for DID 3 auditions this year. The judges were not only surprised but shocked to see his improvement and after watching him perform, had no reservations to confidently declare that he surely is “BORN TO DANCE”. Chotu managed to bag the Taqdeer Ki Topi and is raring to prove to the world that he is definitely D + (positive).

Zee TV will telecast Chhotu give a mind boggling performance at the Mumbai Auditions of Dance India Dance 3 on Saturday, 31st December at 8:30pm.
