This Saturday if you are tired of the same politicians shouting the same old promises from their rooftops then shut yourself from the chaos created by the election mania and tune into Zee TV’s Maruti Suzuki presents Dance India Dance Season 3 for some spectacular dance acts. Bipasha ‘Jodi Breaker’ Basu and the graceful Helen Ji were guests of honor for the episode. Vaibhav Ghughe, son of Bhagwat Mahadu Ghughe who works for the Mumbai police, was a background dancer who wanted to do an act which will make his parents proud. Master Remo D’Souza’s long standing wish was to dedicate an entire act to the Mumbai Police. Guru and Shishya took this as an opportunity to choreograph one of the most touching acts ever performed on stage that is sure to tug at your heartstrings. “At a time when the Mumbai elections are the talk of the town, there are people who are responsible for making the system function smoothly are never lauded. We are talking about the forgotten heroes – the Mumbai Police. Being the son of a police officer, Vaibhav was the only person who could have done justice to the act and he did a brilliant job,” said a proud Master Remo.
Taking the example of Constable Tukaram Ombale who laid down his life in an attempt to capture the dreaded terrorist Ajmal Kasab, Master Remo choreographed the entire act depicting the life of a forgotten hero who puts duty above everything else for the love of his country. Vaibhav’s performance on the song Khoon Chala from the movie Rang De Basanti not only brought tears to everyone’s eyes. It was a very emotional moment for Vaibhav’s parents who had tears in their eyes watching their son perform on stage. Bhagwat Ghughe said, “I hold the same rank in the Mumbai Police Department as martyr Tukaram and my heart swells with pride to see my son choose an act like this which salutes the spirit of the Mumbai Police.” Master Terence who was too moved to speak, just stood up and waived a salute to Vaibhav for the beautiful depiction of martyr Tukaram’s sacrifice and to Master Remo for his brilliant choreography… Grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty thanked Master Remo for choosing such a wonderful theme and choreographing a beautiful act around it. Tune into Maruti Suzuki presents Dance India Dance Season 3 every Saturday and Sunday 8:30 PM, only on Zee TV. |
