Karan V. Grover and Suhasi Dhami (Zee TV’s Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli ) talk about how their characters Karan and Abha would celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Karan - Abha is completely unromantic which I would definitely like to improve and also add a little bit of naughtiness in her. And on Valentine's Day, I would take her on a hot air balloon and see to it that I land it in the middle of a desert. To make it the most romantic, I would put up a shamiana in the middle of nowhere and have a lovely vegetarian dinner, and surprise her later with a deadly dune bashing". Suhasi - If Abha has to plan a Valentine's Day, it would be the most devotional and sacred one where she will take Karan to a Mandir for a bhajan and thank god for giving him back to me. I feel that Abha should work on her romantic skills and be a little naughtier". Karan V. Grover’s tips on guys on V Day Karan advices "Do not put up any pretence or be fake. Even in the way you dress up, there are people who overdress on special days and remain casual on the rest of the days. Secondly, the lady deserves respect because it is because of her that we are here today, and thirdly don't be smart and try your hand at double dating." Kinshuk Mahajan
Kinshuk Mahajan who recently got married to his girlfriend from school, Divya, sounded ultra romantic saying, “For me everyday is a Valentine’s Day and I try and make Divya feel special every day. This year I will mostly be shooting. But I am definitely going to spend it with my wife and make her feel like a Queen. As I am a pathetic singer, my horrible singing and candlelight dinner with her is one of the things that should make her feel special.” Mitali Nag
I think the greeting card companies have brainwashed the youth of the nation by saying that Valentine’s Day should only be celebrated with your boyfriend or girlfriend. I think if you want to celebrate a day dedicated to love, then you should spend it with people who are special and hold close to your heart.
School days were the best as we would look forward to be someone’s Valentine on V-Day. Once a very close school friend, who had a huge crush on me, played a prank on me to find out whether I had any feelings for him. I still chuckle when I think of those days. Today commercialization of the day has killed the innocence. Mukul Harish
I am strictly against the concept of public display of affection, expressing love from the rooftop or screaming my lungs out saying I love someone. I don’t believe in such kind of love and hence do not believe in celebrating Valentine’s Day. It’s like any normal day for me. It’s not my birthday or my anniversary that I have to celebrate it with the rest of the world. I have no issues with people who celebrate this day and make it special for their loved ones. Hiten Tejwani
Valentine's day is not just about sharing it with someone who you love, but sharing it with someone who has been an integral part of your life and for me, Gauri and both my kids are the most important to me. So I will spend the day with my family and In case I don't have a shoot that day, I would love to take Gauri out for a special evening. Although deciding on a special gift is difficult, I will ensure that she feels special.
Rati Pandey
I am single so I don’t have that ‘someone special’ to celebrate this day with. Although I do think that you should celebrate this day with the people who mean the most to you. Hence, given the time, I am definitely making plans with my close friends who have made living in Mumbai much easier.. Since I am single, I will also pamper myself by shopping for something special and of course, no Valentine’s day will be complete without some chocolate.

Valentine’s day has always been very special for Debina and me. Every year we have made it a point to spend it with each other. No matter where we are, we always have ended up planning surprises for the other person. At the start of our relationship, I was the one to catch Debina off guard and surprise her, but of late she has been the one to take me by surprise! It is always a nice feeling to make your partner feel special. One particular year we spent Valentine’s Day in Goa – two happy people very much in love. |
