Here’s the story of a hug and kiss that almost didn’t happen..And Manasi Parekh is still thanking her stars that it did. Coz it sure made her day. After all, it isn’t every day that a woman has the joy of being enveloped in heartthrob John Abraham’s strong arms, have him kiss your hands and say that your performance just left him mesmerized.

This happened at the shoot of the latest episode of Zee TV’s Star Ya Rockstar where Bollywood’s very own “Johnny Bravo” made an appearance along with his fellow Desi Boy Akshay Kumar.

When it was time for Manasi’s performance which was the last performance of the day, a sheepish John confessed that he had to attend to an urgent call and will be missing her act. Although he apologized profusely and confessed that Manasi’s track Chalo Tumko Lekar Chale from his debut film Jism was one of his favourite tracks because it brought back fond memories of his ‘love affair’ with films, John regretted that he might have to miss Manasi’s act. But our spunky Manasi wasn’t about to take no for an answer and after promising to make her performance worth the wait, she promptly broke into the song. An awe-struck John was so taken aback by her honey-coated voice and breathtaking rendition that it did not take him more than two seconds to drop back into his chair, put his buzzing phone on silent and wait to hear more.

Overjoyed at having convinced John to stay for her performance, Manasi poured her heart and soul into making it one worth remembering. Almost as a testimony to how good her performance was, the cameras caught John watching Manasi with a dropped jaw, looking positively captivated and engrossed. An enthused John was so pleased with her performance that he just could not stop himself from rushing up to the stage to plant a peck on her cheek and wrap her up in a giant hug! Oh, the surprise and glee that showed on Manasi’s face had all women wishing they could trade places with her, if only for those few precious seconds. Further, Manasi was tickled pink when Akshay spilled the beans on John and revealed that, “John was so overwhelmed with Manasi’s act that he sat holding my little finger through out the act” Turning a beetroot red, John totally denied the charge but everybody was already laughing.
